Welcome to Malta and above all welcome to Valletta Lucente !

Eye for detail, dedication, love, passion, appreciation of history and most importantly personal input and efforts have worked magic to create this hideaway in the pumping heart of Malta’s capital city. They were four years of planning and renovating our home to best suit today’s needs and comfort both for us and for our guests to enjoy, taking care to safeguard the history and the heritage which we inherited, going back to 400 years. Our efforts together were solely to finally share our home with you so that it will also be your home away from home.

Check In

Check in is from 3.00pm onwards; however guests may register from noon and leave their luggage in reception. We would appreciate if prior arrangement for luggage keeping is made beforehand.

Check Out

Check out is at 10.00am. Our Reception opens at 8.00am, so if you wish to leave earlier than 8am, kindly settle your bill the previous day.
Prior arrangement shall be made for guests who would like to vacate room after 10.00am. Late checkouts are charged at 20 Euro for the first hour and 10 Euro per hour for each additional hour, subject to availability.

Credit Information

We accept MasterCard & Visa, as well as all major debit cards. Unfortunately, we don’t accept American Express or Diners.

Breakfast

There is no excuse to skip Breakfast. Apart from being the most important meal of the day, our breakfast is especially prepared, home made, healthy and delish. Just the right dose prepared for you to start off your day !

Allergies : The majority of our food contains traces of nuts.

Please advise us if you have any special dietary requirements or suffer from any allergies, so we can prepare specifically for you.

Breakfast is served in our dining room:
Monday to Friday from: 7.30am – 10.00am
Saturday and Sunday from: 8.00am – 10.00am

If not included in your room rate, breakfast is Euro 10 per person.

Internet

High speed independent internet connection is available in every suite.

If you experience any problems with your connection, please contact reception.

TV – Channels

The flat screen TV in your room is alimented through cable TV.

Cleaning and room upkeep

Our dedicated housekeepers will be cleaning your room on a daily basis.

Water is a precious resource and thus your towels and sheets will be changed every three nights.  Nevertheless please feel free to ask us if you need fresh towels and sheets before this lapse.

Room Keys

When you check in you will be given two keys.  One key is for your room and the other is for the front door of Valletta Lucente.  During your stay and also when leaving home, please take and keep safe your keys.  For security reasons our front door is locked when we or our team members are not able to keep a check on the front door entrance, thus kindly carry safely your keys with you at all times.

It would be appreciated that whilst entering, especially late at night, as a courtesy to other Valletta Lucente guests, noise is kept as minimum as possible.

Please ensure that you leave your key when you finally check out, as the room keys are part of a special set.

Non- Smoking Policy

Valletta Lucente has a strict no-smoking policy throughout the premises. Smoking in bedrooms and within the property boundaries, both internal and external is strictly prohibited.

If guests smoke in the bedroom or in the property’s boundaries, we regretfully request the guests to vacate the room immediately. Both the guest and the person who performed the booking would be deemed liable for a minimum payment of a three night stay depending on the room which he shall currently be occupying, and in addition both parties will also be liable for any cleaning and dry cleaning involved in the room in respect of curtains and carpets.

Damages, Breakages and Antisocial Behaviour

Respect, courtesy and dignity are the standards by which our guests will be dealt with whilst staying with us.  Regretfully not everyone is the same and there are a few who do not hold these same values at heart.   Guests and persons accompanying our guests, whether they are staying with us or not, are both responsible and liable for any breakages or damages caused both inside the room and also in the parameters of the residence.  We request that incidents, breakages and damages are reported immediately.  Whilst we comprehend minor accidents can occur, negligent breakages and damages shall be compensated by a charge covering the full cost of the fixing and / or replacement of any breakage, damage and any missing item. Subsequently, inconsiderate guests will be asked to vacate the room immediately.  Any nights forgone resulting from such behaviour, will still be charged to the guest.

There will be a charge of twenty (20) Euro in respect of additional cleaning including but not limited to soiled bedding, towels, carpets, furnishings as a result of vomit, food and drink stains, blood and bed wetting.

Excessive noise, unruly and threatening behaviour and the like which causes inconvenience and discomfort to our other guests and/or staff is not acceptable. Subsequently, inconsiderate guests will be asked to vacate the room immediately.  Any nights forgone resulting from such behaviour, will still be charged to the guest.
